The Library & Information Center (most known as LIS) is the central information unit of University of Patras, and is located at the new library building of 8.000 m2, offering more than 400 study seats and a wide range of networking facilities.

LIS houses a variety of collections including:

- the main collection with more than 100.000 volumes.
- collections coming from donations, the largest being this of V.V. Antonopoulos
- e-resources collection, that provides access to:
- - about 12.000 electronic journals
- - more than 30.000 e-books
- - and a large number of databases
You can search for these resources through the tools and systems that the Library provides from its website .

Moreover, a sufficient number of digital collections is also available. These include:
- the University of Patras Institutional Repository “Nemertes
- the digital collections “Kosmopolis” , “Pleias” and “Daniilis
- the electronic e-publishing platform for open access journals “Pasithee” .

LIS is an open access library and can be used by external users as well. All users must have a valid User Card which is issued by the Circulation and Readers Services Department upon completion of an application.

LIS is open Monday to Friday 08:00-21:00. Please, note that opening hours vary during summer and holidays.
